New Delhi, May 4: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge congratulated party workers for their efforts in the recent elections across five states, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In a post on the social media platform X, Kharge expressed his appreciation for the tireless dedication shown by party members. He acknowledged that the results were mixed but emphasized the ideological nature of their struggle, which requires patience, determination, and unwavering resolve.
Kharge stated that the Congress party has always chosen the path of truth, justice, and inclusivity. He recognized the challenges ahead but reaffirmed their commitment to serving the public and upholding the core values of democracy. “Let us move forward with renewed determination and continue our struggle with unity and purpose,” he urged.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, thanked the people of Kerala for their decisive mandate. Gandhi also criticized the BJP for alleged electoral fraud in Assam and Bengal, claiming that over 100 seats in Bengal were won through manipulation. He pointed out that similar strategies have been observed in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, calling it an outright theft of elections and institutions.
He further mentioned his conversation with Thiru Vijay, congratulating him on the impressive results in Tamil Nadu. “This mandate reflects the powerful voice of the youth, which cannot and should not be ignored,” he added, thanking Congress workers in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for their hard work and cooperation. He reiterated that the Congress party will continue to protect and serve the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
