Bhopal, May 13: Jitu Patwari, the president of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, has launched a scathing attack on the central government and the BJP regarding the leak of the NEET 2026 exam question paper. He accused the BJP of having connections with the irregularities in the examination process, while actions are only taken against the staff involved.
During a press conference, Patwari stated that nearly 2.4 million students appeared for the NEET exam, but once again, the paper leak and fraud have shattered the dreams of hardworking students and their families. He emphasized that this is not the first incident; similar events have occurred in previous years, including in 2017 and 2021.
Patwari alleged that the BJP’s operational style includes evading political responsibility. Each time, the government and BJP leaders escape accountability, placing the blame solely on employees and officials. He pointed out that in all major examination scams in the country, individuals connected to the BJP or its affiliates have been implicated. The BJP’s ideology aims to interfere in the education system to position its members in various institutions.
He also noted that the family of the individual arrested in the NEET case had previously secured selections in earlier exams, raising serious questions about the integrity of those examinations. Patwari remarked that middle-class families struggle for years to make their children doctors, often sacrificing their needs to spend millions on coaching, only to see their dreams crushed by corrupt government policies.
He asserted that there is ongoing manipulation within the entire examination system and online processes. The government is playing with democratic institutions and the future of the youth. Patwari highlighted that states governed by the BJP have witnessed the highest number of paper leaks and recruitment scams. Incidents of paper leaks have been reported consistently in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh, yet impartial investigations have never reached the culprits due to their political protection.
He specifically mentioned the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, stating that under BJP rule, the future of the youth has been systematically destroyed. Patwari concluded by condemning the entire situation and appealing to parents across the country to recognize the grave injustice done to their children’s futures. The Congress party is formulating a comprehensive strategy addressing issues related to youth, employment, education, and competitive examinations.
