Congress Leader Hussain Dalwai Congratulates V.D. Satheesan on Kerala Chief Minister Appointment

Mumbai, May 18: Congress leader Hussain Dalwai expressed his happiness over V.D. Satheesan taking oath as the Chief Minister of Kerala. In a conversation with a news agency, he stated, “I congratulate the new Chief Minister of Kerala, V.D. Satheesan. The Congress has made an excellent decision in entrusting him with the state’s leadership, given his extensive administrative and political experience.”

Regarding Prime Minister Modi receiving Sweden’s highest honor, Dalwai remarked that while the Prime Minister frequently travels, the country’s foreign policy has failed. He pointed out that during Modi’s recent visit to five countries, the prices of petrol and diesel increased back home.

On the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra’s appeal to party workers regarding SIR, Dalwai commented that the Shiv Sena is speaking the language of the BJP and should not be taken too seriously.

Addressing allegations against Rahul Gandhi by the BJP, he stated that the government is jeopardizing children’s futures. He highlighted that the NEET paper leak is not a new issue, recalling a similar incident in 2024. Dalwai criticized the Ministry of Education for its inefficiency and suggested that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign.

He noted that when significant issues arise in any department, resignations are expected. He referenced past instances, such as Shivraj Patil resigning after a bomb incident and Vilasrao Deshmukh stepping down under similar circumstances. Dalwai emphasized that the government is playing with children’s futures, leading to tragic outcomes, and praised Rahul Gandhi’s strong stance on the matter.

In response to comments made by West Bengal Cabinet Minister Agnimitra Paul, Dalwai asserted that everyone recognizes India as a mother figure. He condemned those who speak against the Constitution and democracy while claiming to honor Bharat Mata, stating that Gandhi’s advocacy for Bharat Mata played a crucial role in India’s independence.

Regarding statements from Uttar Pradesh Minister Jayveer Singh about the call to prayer, Dalwai said that if the sound disrupts sleep, individuals should inform the police to lower the volume. He pointed out that loudspeakers are used during all festive celebrations, and if noise is a concern, those should also be regulated.
