Congress Appoints War Room Chairpersons in Five States Ahead of Assembly Elections

Congress has appointed chairpersons for election war rooms in five states to boost preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.

New Delhi, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : The Congress Party is ramping up its preparations for the upcoming assembly elections by appointing chairpersons for election war rooms in five states. These appointments are effective immediately.

On Saturday, a press release confirmed that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge approved the appointments. The newly appointed chairpersons will oversee the operations of the party’s election war rooms in their respective states.

The appointed individuals include Sachin Yadav for Uttar Pradesh, Kannan Gopinathan for Punjab, Imroz Khan for Goa, Biswaranjan Mohanty for Manipur, and Krishna Satrod for Uttarakhand. The party stated that these appointments were made to strengthen its organizational and campaign efforts ahead of the elections.

Election war rooms play a crucial role in coordinating campaign activities, managing communication, monitoring political developments, and ensuring collaboration among party units during the elections. The Congress hopes that these new appointments will enhance its electoral preparations in all five states.

Additionally, AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal mentioned on Friday that the party has held high-level meetings with senior leaders from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. These discussions were aimed at mobilizing support for the mega rally against “vote theft,” organized by the India bloc, scheduled for November 1 in New Delhi.

In a post on the social media platform X, Venugopal noted that he, along with Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, met with AICC in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam, UP Congress President Aradhana Mishra Mona, and other senior state leaders to strategize for significant participation in the rally.

A separate meeting was also conducted with Haryana AICC in-charge Sanjay Dutt, Haryana Congress President Rao Narender Singh, and senior leaders from the state to bolster organizational efforts there.
