CJP Responds Strongly to Arrest of Founder Abhijit Dipke

The Cockroach Peoples Party vows to mobilize supporters after the arrest of founder Abhijit Dipke in New Delhi.

New Delhi, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : The Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) has reacted strongly on social media after the arrest of its founder, Abhijit Dipke, along with other associates. The party warned that for every Abhijit detained, thousands will rise in protest. Similarly, they asserted that the jailing of one Saurav would lead to thousands of Sauravs taking to the streets.

On Friday, the CJP posted on its official X handle, “If you detain one Abhijit, thousands will stand up! If you imprison one Saurav, thousands will flood the streets! If you arrest one Ashutosh, thousands will gather in Delhi!”

The CJP emphasized their commitment to the national flag, stating, “The tricolor is our life, the tricolor is our pride! No one can stop us!”

Earlier that day, Delhi police detained Dipke while he was en route to a planned ‘Tiranga Sabha‘ at Central Park in Connaught Place. This gathering was organized in response to the arrests of fellow party members Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.

Minutes after Dipke’s arrest, Neha Bora, the national president of the All India Students Association (AISA), was also taken into custody by Delhi police near Mandi House. She was heading to participate in the CJP’s ‘Lahra Do Tiranga’ demonstration alongside other leftist activists.

The Delhi police had previously issued two notices to Dipke, warning him against holding the assembly at Central Park. The notices cited that the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) had not granted permission for the event, and a prohibition order was in effect at the location. The police warned of legal action for violating the prohibition.

CJP spokesperson Mehr Pasricha stated in an interview that the party aims to assert its right to determine where the national flag should be displayed. He emphasized that the national flag symbolizes patriotism and should not face any restrictions or obstacles in its display.

According to officials, the notice issued to Dipke referenced Section 163 of the Indian National Security Code (BNSC), which prohibits access to Central Park. Another notice reminded him that he, along with Ranka and Das, had been legally barred from participating in activities that could disrupt public peace for one year, following a court directive.
