Civilian killed, non local wounded in Kashmir attacks

Srinagar, March 21 : A civilian was killed and a non-local individual was wounded in two separate attacks in Kashmir on Monday evening, police said. In the first incident, a civilian Tajamul Mohi-ud-din was shot dead in Budgam district. “Terrorists barged into the house of one civilian Tajamul Mohi-ud-din Rather, a resident of Gotpora area of Budgam and fired indiscriminately upon him. In this terror incident, he had sustained critical gunshot injuries and was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment however, doctors declared him dead on arrival, ” a police officer said. A non local worker from Bihar was wounded in a militant attack in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. “At about 7.45 pm, terrorists fired upon one street vendor identified as Bisujeet Kumar, resident of Bihar. In this terror incident he has received gunshot injuries and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, where he is being treated,” the officer added This is the second attack on a non local in Kashmir in last three days. Police have registered cases regarding both the incidents of Monday shooting. “Investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances leading to these terror crimes. The respective areas have been cordoned and search in these areas is going on,” the officer said MJR RKM
