
Bhopal, October 6 (Daily Kiran) : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has pledged to enhance employment and career opportunities for the state’s youth. Speaking at the ‘CM Youth Conclave-2026’ held at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal, he announced that starting in 2027, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPSC) exams will be conducted twice a year.
Declaring 2027 as the “Year of Youth,” Yadav emphasized the government’s commitment to focusing on education, skill development, research, innovation, and employment. He stated, “Next year will be celebrated as the Year of Youth, thus the PSC exams will be held biannually.”
In addition to the regular MPSC exams, Yadav revealed plans for separate job-oriented examinations. He described this initiative as a pioneering step in the country. Furthermore, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of 12 new medical colleges and skill-oriented universities across the state.
Yadav outlined a goal of opening one medical college each month. He also shared that free coaching for competitive exams will be available in government colleges in all districts. To bolster technological education, state-of-the-art laboratories for artificial intelligence and advanced computing will be set up.
The government plans to increase stipends for research scholars from ₹16,000 to ₹25,000 and allocate ₹1 crore to each university for research activities. To foster innovation and startup ideas among youth, a state-level ‘Idea Fund’ of ₹5 crore will be established.
The state’s skill enhancement programs aim to involve one lakh youth and assist them in securing jobs through placement agencies. Additionally, an ‘Investor Meet’ is scheduled for next year to help generate employment opportunities.
Yadav highlighted that these measures aim to create a comprehensive ecosystem for higher education, research, entrepreneurship, and jobs within the state. He also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contributions to public life and encouraged the young audience to applaud him during the conclave.
According to government statistics, approximately 36.74 crore individuals aged 15 to 29 reside in India, making up about 26 percent of the country’s total population.
