New Delhi, April 28: The Delhi Police Crime Branch has filed a chargesheet in Patiala House Court regarding the Youth Congress protest during the AI Summit held in the national capital. A total of 18 individuals have been named in the chargesheet, accused of causing disturbances and orchestrating a planned conspiracy during the summit.
The chargesheet identifies Udaybhanu Chib, the President of the Youth Congress, as the main conspirator in this incident. Additionally, key accused include Shree Krishna Hari, Siddharth Avadhut, and Manish Sharma, all associated with the Youth Congress. The investigation agency claims that these individuals collaborated to plot the disruption during the summit.
The chargesheet reveals that the accused allegedly conspired to defame the Government of India on an international platform. The investigation also indicates that the protest was premeditated and coordinated in its execution.
Earlier in March, the police informed the court that over 100 countries participated in the AI Summit held in Delhi, including 92 nations and members of the European Union. This event marked a significant international gathering focused on artificial intelligence. The police allege that the protest aimed to tarnish the image of this crucial event.
The protest occurred during the AI Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in February. On the day of the incident, a total of 12 individuals were present in the high-security area, with 9 of them participating in the protest by removing their shirts. Four individuals were arrested at the scene.
