Chandrashekhar Azad Criticizes Government Over Recent Violence in Ayodhya

Chandrashekhar Azad questions the governments response to violence in Ayodhya, highlighting the need for accountability and job creation.

Ayodhya, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Chandrashekhar Azad, the president of the Azad Samaj Party and a Member of Parliament, visited the family of Ram Lagan Maurya in Ayodhya on Sunday. Maurya and his mother tragically lost their lives in a recent shooting and bombing incident. Azad described the event as deeply painful and raised concerns over the lack of arrests in the case.

He expressed his shock at the violent nature of the crime, stating, “I have seen and heard about bombings and public murders in films or in places like Bengal, but to witness such an incident in Ayodhya is extremely serious.” He emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting that not only did Ram Lagan lose his life, but his mother also succumbed to her injuries about 15 days later.

During his visit, Azad met with the grieving family, who had requested his presence to share their sorrow. He acknowledged his responsibility as a public representative to support them and reinforce their faith in the law and the Constitution. He promised to amplify their concerns through media channels.

Azad also criticized the state government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the distribution of appointment letters and announcements of new job vacancies. He pointed out that while new appointments are being promised, the government should also be held accountable for the hiring that has taken place over the past nine and a half years.

He specifically mentioned the recruitment processes for 68,500 and 69,000 teaching positions, along with issues related to various community workers. Azad highlighted the dissatisfaction among B.Ed and BTC candidates regarding employment opportunities and questioned why numerous vacant positions remain unfilled.

Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Azad warned that the government will face scrutiny from the public regarding its performance. He accused the administration of attempting to sway voters ahead of elections with promises of job creation and distribution of appointment letters. He stated, “The public is aware of these tactics.”

Addressing the issue of unemployment, he noted that many educated youths are migrating to other states in search of work. He also mentioned protests by various youth groups in Prayagraj. Additionally, Azad raised concerns about the government’s response to flood-affected regions, criticizing the lack of permanent solutions despite annual government visits.

He pointed out that many people in Basti are forced to leave their homes in search of employment and face serious issues with electricity, water, and roads. He indicated that the local ethanol factory has also created problems for residents, underscoring the need for effective solutions. Azad concluded by asserting that the government must ensure job opportunities for the educated youth and strengthen the education system by hiring qualified teachers.
