Central Leaders Congratulate Himanta Biswa Sarma on His Second Term as Assam Chief Minister

Mumbai, May 12: Himanta Biswa Sarma took the oath of office for the second time as the Chief Minister of Assam on Tuesday. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, among others.

Central Minister Chirag Paswan remarked, “Himanta has taken the oath with a leadership style aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision, aimed at accelerating development in Assam. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to him.”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed gratitude to the public for their trust in the BJP, stating, “We will fulfill their expectations. The BJP government is working for the people’s interests, which is why they have faith in us.”

At the ceremony, BJP MP Baijayant Panda described the day as historic, emphasizing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on Assam’s development.

RLM MP Upendra Kushwaha noted, “The government has come to power with even greater strength and will work more effectively for development. The previous government had already done commendable work, and the people have once again given it strength and mandate. I wish the Chief Minister and all cabinet members the best.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated, “The people of Assam have shown their trust and faith in our ‘double-engine’ government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. This trust has led to a third consecutive government. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Assam.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta congratulated the people of Assam for their overwhelming support for the BJP for the third consecutive time.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu remarked, “Prime Minister Modi is instilling confidence in the nation; development is crucial. The Chief Minister has performed excellently. The people have not only re-elected him but have done so with a strong mandate. This additional mandate sends a historic message to all of us.”

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma, stating that the public is showing trust in the BJP under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “This has been a very successful ceremony. I congratulate the new government and Chief Minister Sarma. I wish them success in taking Assam to new heights. Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, Assam has already set a great example of development and will continue to perform even better in the future.”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed joy that the work done by Prime Minister Modi and Himanta has received the public’s blessing and support.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant mentioned that he had come to pray at Kamakhya Temple and hoped that all goals set by Prime Minister Modi for making India a developed nation would be achieved. He also prayed for strength to fulfill the goal of ‘Developed Goa 2037’ and congratulated the people of Assam for re-electing Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated, “In Assam, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Himanta Biswa Sarma has led the BJP government to a tremendous victory for the third consecutive time. It has been proven that Prime Minister Modi is a leader of the people, and Assam is rapidly moving towards realizing the dream of a developed India. I congratulate the people of Assam, Himanta, and his entire team.”
