
The investigation into the death of a NEET aspirant will now be conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Bihar government ministers, including JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, have responded to this development, assuring the victim’s family of justice.
Rajiv Ranjan Prasad stated that the family need not worry and added, “Any strict measures necessary to ensure justice will be taken, and the guilty will be sent behind bars.”
He also informed that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had already collected all video footages and call detail records (CDRs) related to the case. The SIT will submit its report after completing the probe.
Bihar Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said, “A thorough investigation has been carried out, with efforts to uncover every detail of the incident. However, some individuals are spreading rumours to malign the Bihar Police and the government. On Friday, the victim’s family demanded a CBI inquiry, and keeping that in mind, the Bihar government has requested the Centre for a CBI probe.”
Minister Lakhendra Paswan assured, “Justice will be served under all circumstances. No one, regardless of their power, is above the law. Legal action is underway against all those involved. This NDA government does not protect or target anyone unfairly. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made this request, and we fully support it.”
Minister Mohammad Jama Khan added, “The CBI is a major agency, and now the truth will come to light.”
The case involves the death of a NEET student residing in a hostel in Patna. The Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, has urged the central government to have the CBI conduct the investigation.
