Tokyo, October 14 (Daily Kiran): Casio has launched two new Oceanus Manta watches — the OCW-S7000CN-1AJF and OCW-SG1000CN-1AJR — under its latest “Calm Night” theme, inspired by the serenity and reflections of a moonlit sea. Both models showcase intricate Japanese craftsmanship with hand-cut sapphire bezels and black DLC-coated titanium bodies for a luxurious yet durable finish.

OCW-S7000CN-1AJF: Hand-Crafted Elegance
The OCW-S7000CN-1AJF features a sapphire glass bezel hand-cut by Edo Kiriko artisan Toru Horiguchi, using the “Thousand Lines” pattern that mimics the shimmering reflection of moonlight on calm water. Each cut is manually crafted on hard sapphire glass, requiring hours of delicate work.
The design continues the moonlit theme with an all-black titanium case and a subtly blue-reflective bezel. Its dial features a matte texture inspired by the craters and surface of the moon, adding a sense of depth and tranquility.
Measuring 47.5 × 42.8 × 9.8 mm and weighing 81 g, the watch supports Bluetooth smartphone link, MULTIBAND6 radio time correction, and Tough Solar power. It includes world time for 27 cities, a stopwatch, a full automatic calendar, and a power-saving mode.
The watch is water-resistant up to 10 ATM and features double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal with Neobrite-coated hands and indexes for low-light visibility. The titanium band comes with mirror-polished arrow-shaped links and a slide-adjustment clasp.
OCW-SG1000CN-1AJR: Premium Limited Edition
The OCW-SG1000CN-1AJR is a limited edition release, restricted to 600 units worldwide. It features a sapphire bezel with the “Senjiku” pattern, also designed by Toru Horiguchi. The bezel’s 24 polished facets and black-silver gradient (created using vapor deposition) reflect a soft blue hue under light.
Its dial is embossed with textures reminiscent of the moon’s surface, enhanced through layered plating and painting techniques. The case back carries a laser-etched moon emblem coated with DLC, adding to its celestial theme.
This model introduces Gallium Tough Solar — a next-generation solar system inspired by satellite technology — that improves energy efficiency. A crescent-shaped solar cell under the date window captures light effectively.
Weighing 99 g and sized at 47.5 × 43 × 11.7 mm, the OCW-SG1000CN includes Bluetooth, MULTIBAND6, Tough Solar, world time, and a 1-second stopwatch. It also features Neobrite hands and is water-resistant up to 10 ATM.
The watch is built with black DLC-coated titanium, fitted with a dual-curved sapphire crystal and slide-adjustment clasp, and comes in a special presentation box with a unique serial number.
Pricing and Availability
Both models will go on sale in November 2025. The OCW-S7000CN-1AJF will retail for ¥308,000 (approx. US$2,023), while the OCW-SG1000CN-1AJR will be priced at ¥682,000 (approx. US$4,480).
With their blend of advanced technology and handcrafted artistry, the new “Calm Night” editions reaffirm Casio Oceanus’s commitment to elegance, precision, and Japanese heritage.
