Cabinet expansion, distribution of remaining portfolios by next week: Goa CM

Panaji, April 3 : Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday said that the distribution of remaining portfolios and cabinet expansion would be done by the end of next week. He said the portfolios have been given to experienced ministers and expressed hope that they will live upto the expectations of the people. ”There are many schemes of the Government of India. They will be implemented. There will be maximum governance with zero corruption. Projects will be fast-tracked and completed as soon as possible. Reforms will be implemented in all the departments and priority will be given to ease of doing business,” the Chief Minister said. He said cabinet expansion and induction of three ministers would be held by the end of next week. He said supporters of Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar had come to meet him demanding ministry for their MLA. ”I told them I care about the people of Pernem. Mr Arlekar can be made a minister or he can be given any corporation,” the Chief Minister said. He said mistakes, if any, during the previous tenure would not be repeated this time. Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister allocated portfolios among his colleagues, keeping Home, Finance, Personnel, Vigilance and Official Languages with him.
