Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Discusses Education Policy and Political Landscape in Ayodhya
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh addresses education policy impacts and political rallies during his visit to Ayodhya.

Ayodhya, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Former MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh arrived at the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya on November 2, 2026. During his visit, he spoke with a news agency about various issues, including the student parliament, the impact of the new education policy in rural areas, the shooting incident during the Ram Temple movement on November 2, 1990, his new role in the BJP state executive committee, and the recent rally of the ‘INDIA’ alliance in Delhi.
He mentioned that the student parliament was initially planned for Varanasi but had to be relocated due to space constraints. “They came to us for help, and we suggested holding it in Ayodhya instead. This way, students from our region can also participate and learn,” he said.
Singh highlighted that the topic of the student parliament would focus on the new education policy. He expressed concerns about its negative impact on education in rural areas. “Schools are open, and there are teachers, but students are not attending,” he noted.
Reflecting on the 1990 shooting during the Ram Temple movement, he stated, “We too have suffered from this. It will always be remembered, but now the Ram Temple is built.” On the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, he expressed optimism, predicting a favorable outcome.
Regarding the ‘INDIA’ alliance rally held on November 1 at Ram Leela Maidan in New Delhi, he remarked, “The rallies are over.” This follows criticism from Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, who targeted opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, claiming that the opposition failed to meet its goal of gathering 1 million people at the rally. In response, opposition members urged Maurya to focus on his own political standing and career.
