New Delhi, March 2: Bomb threats targeting schools in New Delhi show no signs of abating. On Monday morning, several schools received threatening emails once again. The Delhi police and security agencies have taken this matter seriously and have initiated an investigation.
According to reports, school staff discovered the emails shortly after 8 AM and promptly notified the fire department and police. This time, Army Public School Delhi Cantt, Salwan Public School, and Meera Public School Janakpuri were among those targeted.
Upon receiving the information, the Delhi police, bomb disposal squad, and sniffer dogs arrived at the scene. The fire department also began checking the schools. Surrounding areas were sealed off to ensure the safety of students and staff. However, no suspicious items have been found so far. Authorities are also working to identify the source of the threatening emails, and everyone has been advised to remain vigilant.
These threats are not new to Delhi. Just last Monday, Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharati School on Lodhi Road also received bomb threats. Immediate action was taken then as well, with police and security agencies conducting thorough investigations, but no suspicious materials were recovered.
Previously, threats have also been made against the Delhi Secretariat, Delhi Assembly, and Red Fort. Such threats are increasingly causing concern among the public, especially students. Nevertheless, police and security agencies respond with utmost vigilance, sealing off nearby areas to ensure safety.
