Ambala, May 8: Haryana Minister Anil Vij has asserted that the BJP’s momentum will flow from Assam and Bengal into Punjab. He predicts a victory for the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections, leading to the formation of the next government.
Vij’s remarks come amid rising political tensions following recent explosions in Punjab. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has accused the BJP of involvement in these incidents. In response, Vij dismissed Mann’s claims as baseless, urging him to provide evidence or resign for making false statements.
Speaking in Ambala, Vij humorously suggested that Mann might be under the influence, which could explain his statements. He accused the Chief Minister of making unfounded allegations against his own officials.
“If Mann believes the BJP is responsible, he should either prove it or step down,” Vij stated. He emphasized that as both Chief Minister and Home Minister, Mann should refrain from making such misleading accusations.
Vij highlighted the nationwide wave of support for the BJP, which he claims is advancing towards Punjab from Bengal and Assam. He suggested that Mann is fearful of this trend, as the BJP is poised to form the next government in Punjab, prompting the Chief Minister to make unfounded accusations.
On the ongoing controversy surrounding the national anthem “Vande Mataram,” Vij affirmed its significance, stating it holds equal importance to “Jana Gana Mana.” He stressed that singing and respecting it is a duty for every Indian. “If we wish to live in India, we must sing ‘Vande Mataram,'” he added.
Regarding the Haryana municipal elections, Vij expressed confidence that the BJP will emerge victorious across the state. He noted that the political climate favors the BJP, predicting victories in elections nationwide.
Citing Bengal as an example, he remarked that the BJP’s wave has uprooted the longstanding dominance of local goons there.
