Kolkata, May 10: Following the formation of the BJP government in West Bengal, the party is now focused on winning the trust of the public. State president Samik Bhattacharya stated that the BJP has faced significant struggles in the region. “Thanks to the sacrifices of our workers, we have been able to establish our government in Bengal,” he remarked.
In an interview, Bhattacharya emphasized, “From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, every BJP worker holding the party flag has dreamed of establishing a government inspired by Syama Prasad Mukherjee on his native soil.”
He also targeted Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, noting that elections in Bengal have concluded. “Some individuals from Uttar Pradesh came to support the TMC here. Now, with elections approaching in Uttar Pradesh, the public is set to bring the NDA government to power, facilitating rapid development in the state,” he added.
Bhattacharya expressed pride in fulfilling Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s vision. “The public was already convinced that only the BJP could bring development to Bengal, which is why they granted us an absolute majority. We are paying special attention to the people’s issues. Our priority is to rebuild Bengal from scratch, as many systems have deteriorated.”
He also paid tribute to the 321 BJP workers who were allegedly killed by TMC goons, stating, “Today is a day to honor those workers, and we have set up a memorial at Brigade Parade Ground. We want to tell TMC members not to attempt to create such an environment, as power has now shifted. No one will be spared; those who engage in misconduct will face imprisonment.”
The BJP state president stressed that law and order in West Bengal had deteriorated and must be improved. “Under TMC’s rule, law and order completely broke down. The public was suffering as their issues went unheard,” he concluded.
