New Delhi, February 19: The President of the Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, welcomed the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) decision to initiate a special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list in the national capital. He stated that this process will aid in identifying and removing illegal foreign nationals from the voter list.
Sachdeva alleged that the revision process would help eliminate the names of Bangladeshi and Rohingya nationals who are reportedly residing illegally in Delhi.
He mentioned that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed teams of party workers at the state and district levels to assist voters with any issues during the special intensive revision process.
Furthermore, he noted that each team includes a legal expert who will provide necessary legal guidance and assistance to voters throughout the revision process.
Sachdeva emphasized that the BJP will fully cooperate with the Election Commission to ensure the accuracy of the voter list and the removal of ineligible entries. He reiterated the party’s commitment to assist voters and to carry out the amendment process smoothly and transparently.
