BJP Urges Opposition to Take Legal Action Over Election Commission Protests
BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh criticize opposition protests against the Election Commission, urging legal action instead of street demonstrations.

Vijayawada, October 8 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh have expressed strong criticism regarding the opposition’s protests against the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. Syed Basha, the state president of the BJP Minority Morcha, stated that if Rahul Gandhi possesses any evidence, he should present it publicly and pursue legal avenues rather than resorting to street confrontations.
Basha emphasized, “If you have an issue with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, take the legal route. Present your evidence and go to court. Making baseless allegations is unacceptable.” He also took a jab at Congress’s call for filing FIRs, questioning how many issues Gandhi has resolved during his long tenure as a Member of Parliament.
He further criticized Gandhi for lacking the courage to engage in dialogue with Prime Minister Modi, accusing him of creating disputes by taking to the streets and involving women and youth. “Your aim is to diminish the dignity of India,” Basha remarked.
BJP spokesperson Vinusha Reddy made serious allegations against Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra concerning the treatment of female police officers during the protests in Delhi. She claimed that Gandhi inappropriately touched a female police officer on duty while advocating for the end of patriarchy. “How can you preach against patriarchy while behaving in such a manner?” she questioned.
Vinusha also accused Priyanka Gandhi of elbowing a female officer, stating that both leaders treated the police personnel poorly, as if they were above accountability. She called for both to apologize to the female officers, asserting that failure to do so would lead to a loss of public respect for them. “You are spreading chaos and disorder with false agendas. The people will not support you,” she concluded.
