BJP Targets Congress Over Vande Mataram Controversy, Questions Sonia Gandhis Reaction

Patna, August 16: Central Textile Minister Giriraj Singh has criticized Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding the ‘Vande Mataram‘ issue.

In a conversation, Singh stated, “When Rahul Gandhi travels abroad, he insults the nation. How can someone who disrespects the country be trusted to honor ‘Vande Mataram’? Anyone who insults the nation cannot be trusted to respect Mother India. It is unfortunate for this country.”

Telangana BJP President N. Ramchandra Rao remarked, “During the singing of ‘Vande Mataram’, the entire anthem was played, lasting only three minutes and four seconds. I watched it on TV. All major Congress leaders were present. Rahul Gandhi seemed distracted. Kharge was standing, and Sonia Gandhi appeared very uncomfortable and anxious. She questioned why ‘Vande Mataram’ was taking so long, which she made clear. The Congress has always disrespected ‘Vande Mataram’ and all national symbols. They believe that whatever the Nehru family does is nationalism, and nothing else matters.”

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari added, “Rahul Gandhi, who could not even attend the flag hoisting ceremony on August 15, how can he sing ‘Vande Mataram’? We saw that as soon as ‘Vande Mataram’ started playing at their Congress headquarters, Sonia became uneasy and gestured to stop it. The whole world witnessed that video.”

BJP leader Shah Nawaz Hussain stated, “Since Congress is in opposition, we closely monitor their events. However, when singing ‘Vande Mataram’, one should show pride, feel proud, and hold their head high. Instead, their foreheads were furrowed, and frustration was clearly visible on their faces.”
