BJP Spokesperson Criticizes Opposition Protests, Defends PM Modis Leadership

New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : In New Delhi, BJP national spokesperson RP Singh recently targeted the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party regarding their protests and the ongoing ED-CBI investigations in Punjab. He described the opposition’s unity as a manufactured competition and emphasized that decisions about protest permissions should lie with the police.

Singh stated, “Rahul Gandhi and the opposition have the right to protest, but they do not have the right to create chaos under the guise of a demonstration.” He suggested that there appears to be a rivalry between the opposition and the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP), which has announced a protest in Delhi on October 10. Singh speculated that the opposition may continue their demonstrations to overshadow CJP’s event.

He further noted that the NEET exam issue was initially a student concern, but the CJP seemed to have taken the lead on it. Singh remarked that CJP, which previously focused solely on school issues, is now also addressing the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar, indicating a competitive dynamic between the two.

In another context, Singh revealed that the ED had contacted the Punjab police nearly three months ago, sending reminders regarding allegations against Gurbhavan, an officer in Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s office, for misconduct related to transfers and postings. He claimed that the police had been informed of Gurbhavan accepting bribes for these services, yet no action was taken for months. Consequently, the ED was compelled to approach the court, which has now ordered a CBI investigation. Singh stated that any grievances from Mann should be directed to the court, not to the BJP.

Reflecting on PM Modi’s 25 years of administrative service, Singh praised him for dedicating 13 years in Gujarat and 12 years in Delhi to the nation. He claimed Modi is the first Prime Minister to lift 250 million people above the poverty line, portraying him as a leader of the era who genuinely cares for the country.

Singh concluded by asserting that it is up to the police to decide whether to grant permission for future protests, especially in light of the confrontations that occurred during recent demonstrations.
