BJP President Calls Arvind Kejriwals Satyagraha a Political Drama

New Delhi, April 29: The President of the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Virendra Sachdeva, labeled the ‘Satyagraha’ led by Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Chief Minister, as a circus-like ‘political drama’ during a statement made on Tuesday at Rajghat.

Sachdeva remarked that whenever allegations arise against Kejriwal or his party members, the entire party seems to stage a similar spectacle, and this instance is no different. The public in Delhi and across the nation is now aware of the alleged liquor scam linked to Kejriwal. With the truth coming to light, no drama can obscure his actions. Regardless of how much the corrupt AAP leaders comment against the courts or write letters to judges, they will ultimately find relief only within the framework of the law.

The Delhi BJP president described the protests conducted by AAP members on Tuesday as a ‘political drama’ aimed at diverting public attention from corruption allegations.

Sachdeva accused the AAP and its leaders of being continuously embroiled in corruption accusations and attempting to gain public sympathy through such ‘Satyagraha’ efforts.

He stated that this protest is not for public welfare but rather for the protection of personal and political interests. Kejriwal’s attitude reflects a disregard for democratic institutions. Questioning the functioning of the judiciary and investigative agencies and politicizing them is not a good sign for democracy.

Sachdeva asserted that the people of Delhi have now understood this type of politics and will not be swayed by such movements and protests. If the AAP had solid issues and achievements, there would be no need to resort to such demonstrations.

He claimed that Kejriwal has failed to present his case in court and is now taking these steps to cover up that failure.
