BJP Leaders Criticize Congress Following MLC Election Results
BJP leaders attack Congress after MLC elections, questioning their claims about EVM tampering in light of recent ballot-based results.

New Delhi, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leaders have launched a fierce critique of the Congress party and other opposition groups following the recent results of the MLC elections held in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. They argue that the use of ballot papers in these elections has debunked the opposition’s allegations regarding Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Ramachandra Rao, a BJP leader from Hyderabad, questioned Congress’s stance on EVMs, stating, “What will the Congress party say now that they have failed to secure a single seat using ballot papers?” He highlighted that Congress lost in Karnataka, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh, raising doubts about their claims of EVM tampering.
Rao further challenged Congress to respond to their defeat, asking if they now intend to eliminate ballot papers as well. He asserted that Congress’s arguments have been exposed as false, and their allegations of “vote theft” lack any basis. He urged Congress to refrain from spreading chaos in the country.
In a related statement, Bihar government minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha emphasized that the opposition had previously claimed that they would win if elections were conducted using ballots. However, he noted that this did not happen in Bihar or anywhere else, as Congress failed to even open its account. He stated, “This election proves that the opposition’s accusations are unfounded and incorrect. It is clear that the party with public support will win.”
Kushwaha also commented on the opposition’s planned rally at Ramleela Maidan on November 1 against the Chief Election Commissioner and other officials, suggesting that the opposition should cancel it in light of the election results. He argued that the opposition lacks any legitimate issues to raise and should focus on reviewing the election outcomes instead.
He concluded by asserting that the central government is working for the poor, with ongoing development projects from national highways to state highways, and job creation. In this context, he claimed the opposition has no viable issues to address.
