Lucknow, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : BJP spokesperson Dinesh Pratap Singh recently defended the party’s candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, targeting the Samajwadi Party and its leader, Akhilesh Yadav. He emphasized that the BJP is a grassroots-driven party, with candidates chosen for their hard work and dedication rather than family connections.
Singh stated that the BJP not only claims to be worker-centric but also demonstrates this through its actions. He pointed out that while other parties prioritize family interests, the BJP allows ordinary workers to rise to significant positions based on merit. He noted that some of the chosen candidates were unexpected, reflecting a careful consideration of social dynamics.
He referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas,” asserting that it is more than just a political slogan; it serves as the foundation of the BJP’s organizational principles and governance.
Responding to the Samajwadi Party’s claims of a ‘People’s Development Authority’ (PDA), Singh argued that it is merely a facade for promoting family interests. He accused the Samajwadi Party of neglecting the concerns of backward classes and Dalits by prioritizing candidates connected to their own families for the Rajya Sabha seats.
Singh criticized the Samajwadi Party for its focus on family politics, asserting that the public has recognized this trend. He predicted a strong performance for the BJP in the upcoming 2027 assembly elections.
In reaction to Yadav’s statement about introducing a third candidate to challenge the BJP, Singh remarked that the Samajwadi Party had already lost ground by selecting family members over representatives from marginalized communities. He expressed disappointment that the backward and Dalit societies were overlooked in favor of affluent candidates.
Singh also addressed the Samajwadi Party’s alleged appeasement of the Muslim community, claiming that this strategy has left many feeling neglected. He pointed out recent changes within the party, including the removal of a leader from the Yadav community, questioning whether the Samajwadi Party views them as mere tools for political gain.
He concluded by asserting that the Yadav community, which he described as proud and traditional, would respond to the Samajwadi Party’s tactics in the 2027 elections.
