Lucknow, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reacted strongly to the Samajwadi Party’s (SP) announcement of preparing separate manifestos for various districts ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. BJP leaders assert that no matter what strategy the SP employs, the people of Uttar Pradesh are no longer fooled, and the BJP is poised to secure a third consecutive term.
Pankaj Chaudhary, the BJP’s state president, mocked the SP’s decision. He remarked, “They are free to do what they want. If they wish, they can issue manifestos for every village. However, regardless of their actions, the BJP will achieve a hat-trick and form the government again in 2027.”
Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar also criticized the SP, questioning the need for individual manifestos for each of the 57,694 villages in the state. He mentioned that Akhilesh Yadav, the SP leader, gathers his party members for training sessions, during which controversial statements have been made, including comparisons by Rajkumar Bhati that likened Brahmins to prostitutes.
Cabinet Minister Narendra Kashyap took a more aggressive stance, recalling the SP’s past governance. He stated, “Whether the SP brings district or state manifestos, it makes no difference. The people of Uttar Pradesh still shudder at the memories of Akhilesh Yadav’s administration.”
Kashyap highlighted issues such as the safety of women and daughters during Yadav’s tenure, emphasizing the public’s fear and disappointment. He cited incidents of violence, rampant lawlessness, and stalled development as reasons for the electorate’s disillusionment. “In five years, there were 700 riots, and the state witnessed open lawlessness. Farmers did not receive payment for sugarcane, and youth lost job opportunities. The people of Uttar Pradesh have witnessed this chaos,” he said.
He firmly stated that no matter what manifesto Akhilesh Yadav presents or what steps he takes, the people of Uttar Pradesh will not accept the Samajwadi Party again.
