Hyderabad, September 3: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a sharp critique of the Congress government in Telangana, led by Revanth Reddy, as it marks 1,000 days in power. BJP leader T.R. Srinivas stated that the Chief Minister has amassed a “bundle of lies” during this period.
Speaking to a news agency, Srinivas remarked, “The government is celebrating its 1,000 days, which is its prerogative. However, the pressing question is what has been accomplished in these days. Not a single guarantee has been fulfilled, no pensions have been distributed, and women have not received any financial aid. People are frustrated due to the free bus services, which have disrupted the livelihoods of auto-rickshaw drivers and taxi operators. Promises made to the Muslim community remain unfulfilled.”
He further emphasized, “In these 1,000 days, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has compiled a complete bundle of lies. The real question is when will he rectify his actions and improve the state? If anyone questions you, you resort to police brutality.”
Additionally, T.R. Srinivas condemned the government’s actions against BJP workers, including the police crackdown on party president N. Ramchandra Rao. He stated, “Revanth Reddy has committed atrocities against democracy. BJP workers have been assaulted in Nalgonda and Hyderabad.”
Srinivas asserted, “We are protesting, and it is our legal right to do so. How can you silence us? The manner in which you have beaten people, even near the Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad, is tragic and shameful.”
He concluded by mentioning that BJP’s state president N. Ramchandra Rao was placed under house arrest and detained at a police station throughout the day. “No one can stop the BJP. We will form the government in Telangana by 2028.”
