BJP Celebrates Election Gains in West Bengal with Festivities and Sweets

Kolkata, May 4: The atmosphere in West Bengal is electric following the Indian National Congress (BJP)’s significant lead in the elections. Party workers across various regions are celebrating with great enthusiasm. In Kolkata, outside the BJP office, sweets like ‘Kamala Bhog’ and ‘Jhal Muri’ were distributed, accompanied by chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram.’

A large number of BJP supporters gathered outside the party headquarters in Kolkata to join in the festivities. Local leader Narayan Chattopadhyay brought ‘Kamala Bhog’ and ‘Jhal Muri’ to share with everyone.

Speaking to reporters, BJP workers expressed their joy, declaring it a day of celebration. “Today, the saffron gulal will fly high. Prime Minister Modi has tasted Bengal’s ‘Jhal Muri.’ The people of the state have blessed him with both hands raised. Soon, BJP workers will celebrate this victory on a larger scale,” they stated.

Celebrations were also reported at the Ranaghat counting center in Nadia, where BJP workers rejoiced. Meanwhile, outside the Hastings College counting center in Kolkata, supporters celebrated with colors, chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’

A female worker commented, “There has been no Prime Minister like Modi, nor will there ever be. He has elevated our country. Under his leadership, we have found the courage to defeat Mamata Banerjee.”

Another female worker raised concerns about women’s safety in Bengal, stating that it was difficult for women to go out at night during the TMC government. “Today is a day of joy, and we are celebrating it,” she said.

Sutopa Mukherjee, district president of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Malda, celebrated with party workers. She highlighted the atrocities faced by women in Bengal, noting that despite having a female Chief Minister, there was no acknowledgment of the violence against women. “Many women were burned and killed. Now, ‘Ram Rajya’ will come to Bengal. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, there will be good governance here,” she asserted.
