New Delhi, April 5 : A Bill to amend the Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Act, 2005 was introduction in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The new legislation prohibits the financing of such weapons. The 2005 Act only prohibited the manufacturing of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems. The existing Act does not cover the financial aspect of such delivery systems and the new provisions are essential to meet international obligations, the government has said. AO ING
