Patna, April 12 : Polling began on peaceful note at 7 AM for assembly by-election in Bochaha seat amid tight security arrangements where 2.90 lakhs electorate would be exercising their franchise to seal fates of 13 candidates in EVMs. Sources of the office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Bihar said here on Tuesday that polling began for assembly by-election in Bochaha seat at 7 AM which would continue till 6 PM. Fool proof security arrangements had been made for peaceful polling and adequate security personnel were deployed at all booths, sources added. A total of 2.90 lakh voters would be exercising their franchise at 350 booths to seal the fates of 13 candidates who are in fray. Of 13 candidates, 3 are females and 10 are males. BJP has fielded Baby Kumari as its candidate while RJD has fielded Amar Paswan. VIP has fielded Geeta Kumari, making it triangular contest in Assembly by-election in Bochaha constituency. Counting of votes would be taken up on April 16. By-election in Bochaha seat was necessitated following death of sitting VIP MLA Musafir Paswan. KKS GNK
