Patna, August 14: A special police team in Muzaffarpur conducted simultaneous raids in the Kazi Mohammadpur and Nagar police station areas. This operation was initiated following reports of alleged illegal activities disguised as massage centers and beauty parlors.
During the raid, authorities arrested 12 women and one man. All detainees are currently being interrogated as investigators work to uncover the nature and extent of the alleged network.
According to SDPO Suresh Kumar, police had received information about suspicious illegal activities at certain establishments in key areas of the city for some time.
After confirming these reports, a special team was formed to carry out coordinated raids at multiple locations. The operation involved a significant number of female police officers.
Authorities are also investigating the role of a female beauty parlor operator in these suspicious activities.
Investigators are trying to determine if there is any connection between this operation and cases of abduction and missing persons reported in the Kanti police station area.
During the investigation of complaints filed by families of missing individuals, police uncovered several leads. Based on these clues, action was taken against certain beauty parlors and massage centers.
Several missing girls were rescued during the operation, and investigators are now trying to ascertain how they ended up at the raided locations.
Initial inquiries reportedly revealed information on how vulnerable women and girls may have been recruited into this alleged network.
