Muzaffarpur, May 10: Bihar’s Minister of Art and Culture, Promod Kumar Chandravanshi, visited Muzaffarpur on Sunday. He offered prayers at Baba Garibnath Dham and sought blessings. He stated that it was the blessings of Baba Garibnath that enabled him to serve as a minister in the Bihar government, making his visit a primary duty.
Chandravanshi prayed for the prosperity and development of the people of Bihar. In a media interaction, he issued a stern warning to those playing vulgar songs, urging them to be cautious as action will be taken against them. The minister adopted a firm stance against obscene and vulgar music, emphasizing that the Bihar government will not tolerate such content and will enforce strict legal measures against it.
After the prayers, he expressed concern about the rising obscenity in music and arts. Bihar is renowned for its rich culture and glorious history, but some individuals are spreading filth through vulgar songs, which is unacceptable. He warned that any instance of vulgar music being played or publicly promoted would not be tolerated by the government.
Minister Chandravanshi stressed that art should bring peace to the mind, not create distortions in society. He appealed to artists and lyricists to create songs that unite people and enhance the dignity of Bihar. He also mentioned that action would be taken against those who write such songs. Additionally, he cautioned illegal miners to be careful, stating that neither money nor influence would protect them.
