Patna, May 18: Bihar’s influential leader and former MP Anand Mohan recently questioned the decision-making process within the Janata Dal (United) or JD(U). In response, state minister Lesi Singh has firmly defended Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asserting that he is fully capable of making decisions for both the government and the party.
During an event, Anand Mohan alleged that decisions within JD(U) are no longer made by Nitish Kumar. He claimed that only those who bring money bags are heard in the party. Mohan directly accused some self-serving leaders of politically burying Nitish Kumar.
In a strong rebuttal, Minister Lesi Singh stated that no individual in the country can politically undermine their leader. She emphasized that Nitish Kumar holds a special place in the hearts of millions in Bihar, especially among women and marginalized communities. Singh dismissed the allegations of appointing ministers based on financial influence, insisting that JD(U) has maintained a clean image.
She clarified that the leadership determines the utility of each worker and leader within the government or organization. Singh pointed out that such statements challenge the capabilities of their leader, which the people of Bihar will not accept. She reiterated that all major decisions related to the government and party are made with Nitish Kumar’s consent and guidance. Meanwhile, Anand Mohan is reportedly upset over his son Chetan Anand not being appointed as a minister.
