It marks the first time Pakistan has lost a Test series in Bangladesh, and they faced a clean sweep. In the first Test held in Dhaka, Bangladesh won by 104 runs.
To win the second Test in Silhat, Pakistan needed 121 runs on the final day with three wickets remaining. When they resumed batting, Pakistan was at 316 runs with seven wickets down. The team lost the next three wickets for just 42 runs, getting bowled out for 358 and losing the match by 78 runs. Mohammad Rizwan, who was unbeaten on 75 runs, scored 94 runs before being dismissed as the ninth wicket.
Taijul Islam from Bangladesh was the standout bowler, taking six wickets in the match.
Bangladesh set a challenging target of 437 runs for Pakistan in the fourth innings. In the first innings, Bangladesh scored 278 runs while Pakistan managed only 232 runs, giving Bangladesh a 46-run lead.
