Ayodhya, August 28: The sacred city of Ayodhya celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm on Friday. At the Ram Temple, Rakhi was tied to Ram Lalla and the child form of Lal Sahab. Thousands of Rakhis were sent from across the country for Ram Lalla on this auspicious occasion.
A special worship ceremony was held in Ram Lalla’s court. On Raksha Bandhan, Ram Lalla was adorned with new garments and offered 56 varieties of food. Following this, Rakhis were presented to Ram Lalla, his four brothers, the Ram Darbar, and Hanuman Ji. Ram Lalla also received a Rakhi from his sister, Shanta. The chief priest, Santosh, ceremoniously placed the Rakhis at Ram Lalla’s feet.
Speaking to reporters, Chief Priest Santosh expressed his joy, stating, “We are very happy. Rakhis have been sent for Lord Ram Lalla and his four brothers from Mother Shanta. These Rakhis arrived on Thursday, and after the worship today, they were offered at the Shrungi Ashram by the saints.”
He also mentioned that a special adornment was done today. A garland that arrives daily from Delhi was also placed on Ram Lalla. The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with immense joy and festivity.
Additionally, special Rakhis were received for all the priests of the Ram Temple, who tied them after the worship. Chief Priest Santosh noted that Rakhis were also provided for all the temple priests, and they were adorned with them.
In Kanak Bhawan, Rakhis were tied to Lal Sahab in the auspicious hour of 8 AM, in the presence of Mahant Ramnaresh Das, who also oversaw a special adornment and offering for Lal Sahab.
Mahant Ramnaresh Das of Lal Sahab Darbar stated, “Thousands of devotees from across the country sent Rakhis for Lal Sahab. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Rakhis were offered to the deity, along with tilak and food offerings.”
