August 3 Panchang: Worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati on the First Monday of Sawan

New Delhi, August 2: The Panchang holds significant importance in Hinduism. Before undertaking any auspicious activities, travel, investments, or rituals, consulting the Panchang is essential. It is based on the positions of the sun, moon, and other celestial bodies.

On August 3, 2026, the Panchami Tithi of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Sawan will last until 10:54 PM. Following this, the Shashthi Tithi will commence. This day marks the first Monday of the Sawan month, a time when worshiping Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is believed to yield special benefits. It is advisable to offer Panchamrit, consisting of water, milk, yogurt, sugar, honey, and ghee, along with bel leaves, dhatura, white flowers, and sandalwood at the Shivling.

On Monday, sunrise will occur at 6:02 AM, and sunset will be at 7:03 PM. The moon will rise at 9:59 PM and set at 10:54 AM the following day. According to the Panchang, on August 3, 2026, the sun will be positioned in the Pushya Nakshatra, while the moon will remain in the Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra until 10:00 PM, after which it will transition to the Revati Nakshatra.

There will be no Harshan Yoga on Monday; instead, Sukarma Yoga will prevail. The Abhijit Muhurat, considered the most auspicious time of the day, will be from 12:07 PM to 12:59 PM. The Amrit Kaal will occur from 5:07 PM to 6:44 PM.

Additionally, Rahukal will take place from 7:40 PM to 9:17 PM, and Gulik Kaal will be from 2:10 PM to 3:48 PM. Yamagand Kaal will occur from 10:55 AM to 12:33 PM. Traditional beliefs suggest avoiding the initiation of new ventures during these times, as they are considered inauspicious.

On this day, the sun will be in the Cancer zodiac sign, while the moon will be in Pisces. There will be a directional obstacle in the east. According to astrology and Vastu, it is advisable to avoid traveling in this direction. If travel is unavoidable, specific astrological remedies should be followed before departure.
