Asim Arun Criticizes Akhilesh Yadavs Political Strategy in Kannauj
Uttar Pradesh Minister Asim Arun slams Akhilesh Yadavs political tactics, calling them opportunistic and ineffective for the people of Kannauj.

Lucknow, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh‘s Minister of State for Social Welfare, Asim Arun, launched a strong political attack on Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav during an event in Lucknow. He dismissed Yadav’s PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) formula as merely an electoral facade.
Arun criticized Yadav’s slogan, asserting that it serves not the public good but rather as a means to reach the Chief Minister‘s chair. He pointed out that the people of Kannauj made a significant error by electing Yadav as their MP. Despite more than two and a half years passing, Yadav has not spent a single night in his constituency, only making brief appearances to meet a few party workers before returning to Lucknow.
The lack of attendance and empty chairs at a recent PDA conference in Kannauj prompted Arun to remark that these images reflect the true ground reality of the Samajwadi Party’s support. He noted that the absence of party workers and public indifference is indicative of the party’s overall decline across the state.
Arun questioned why Yadav only remembers the PDA concept as elections approach. He challenged Yadav to clarify his real agenda, stating that while he aspires to be Chief Minister, he fails to address critical issues like law and order, crime control, and corruption. He highlighted Yadav’s silence on women’s rights and safety as particularly concerning.
He argued that a party lacking a clear vision or solid policies, focused solely on benefiting its family, is destined for failure. Arun described the Samajwadi Party as ideologically hollow and bankrupt in terms of policy and ethics.
In contrast, he praised the work of the Bharatiya Janata Party under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that their government is setting new standards for development. Arun emphasized that the BJP is advancing with public trust, built on welfare policies and high political ethics, while opposition parties like the Samajwadi Party are struggling to find their footing through opportunistic slogans.
