Arvind Kejriwal Faces Legal Challenges as BJP Intensifies Criticism

New Delhi, May 15: Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma initiated contempt proceedings against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Durgesh Pathak, Sanjay Singh, Vinay Mishra, and Saurabh Bhardwaj, regarding the excise policy case. Delhi BJP leaders assert that Kejriwal will now face the consequences.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala stated in an interview that the AAP has transformed into an anarchist party. He accused it of being anti-Ambedkar and anti-Constitution, claiming that the party consistently disrespects constitutional institutions. This behavior has become their identity, he noted.

Poonawala criticized the party for making derogatory remarks against a female judge and questioned why those who advocate for constitutional protection remain silent on this issue. He emphasized that if they had grievances, they should have approached the Supreme Court instead of making public comments. He welcomed the legal actions initiated against them.

BJP spokesperson RP Singh remarked that Kejriwal and his party exhibit traits of urban naxalism. He claimed they do not trust constitutional institutions and raise questions only when actions are taken against them. Singh expressed hope that Kejriwal would show wisdom and cooperate with the ongoing proceedings.
