Mumbai, March 5: In the glamorous world of cinema, the hard work and struggles of artists often remain overshadowed by their lavish lifestyles. Actress Anit Padda recently highlighted this reality as she dedicated her success to her father after winning two prestigious awards at the Zee Cine Awards 2026.
Anit Padda was honored with the Best Debut Female award and the Viewers’ Choice Best Actress award at the event.
While accepting her awards on stage, Anit began her speech by acknowledging her father. She stated, “I dedicate this victory to my dad. This moment is one of the most emotional in my life. I have fulfilled my father’s dream through hard work. He always wanted to be an actor, but for some reason, that dream remained unfulfilled. Now, his daughter has realized that dream.”
Speaking in Punjabi, Anit expressed to her father, “Your dream has now been fulfilled through your daughter. When you said that you were living your dream through me, I realized I was not just achieving for myself, but also bringing your dream to life.”
In her heartfelt speech, Anit continued, “I have never been this happy in my life. Dad, I love you so much, and it is because of you that I am here today.”
She also reflected on the significance of storytelling in films, saying, “When people applaud an actor’s performance in movies and shows, those cheers are not just for the actor. They are actually for the story being portrayed on screen, which connects to people’s lives and experiences. I take pride in being part of these stories and conveying emotions to the audience.”
