Anand Dubey Resigns from Shiv Sena (UBT), Criticizes Partys Direction

Anand Dubey resigns from Shiv Sena (UBT), expressing discontent with the partys stance on national issues.

Mumbai, October 12 (Daily Kiran) : National spokesperson Anand Dubey announced his resignation from Shiv Sena (UBT) on Monday, expressing dissatisfaction with the party’s operations and stance on various issues. During a press conference in Mumbai, Dubey emphasized that while political differences are common, the nation’s interests should always come first.

He stated, “The country comes first. The party follows, and individuals come even later.” Referring to a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Dubey recalled his visit to the area with colleague Gulabchand More, where he assured local leaders like Farooq Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha that the party stood with them.

Although he held no significant position, Dubey expressed that he has always embodied the spirit of a Shiv Sainik inspired by Balasaheb Thackeray. He insisted that political parties must unite during national crises. Criticizing Shiv Sena (UBT), he clarified that his role models are not controversial figures like Sharjeel Imam or Umar Khalid, but rather those who have made courageous contributions to the country and society.

Dubey passionately remarked, “Engage in politics, criticize the government, protest against inflation and unemployment, but do not stand against the country.” He shared that leaving the party was a painful decision, equating it to leaving one’s home. “When someone leaves their home, it is natural to feel sorrow. I feel deep sadness, but it becomes difficult to move forward when thoughts and hearts do not align.”

He also mentioned his dedicated efforts for the party in the upcoming 2024 assembly elections and the Mumbai municipal elections, yet felt he did not receive the respect and support he deserved. Dubey noted that despite his commitment, no one from the party inquired about his well-being when he announced his resignation.
