Amit Shah Promises Revival of Industries in West Bengal if BJP Wins

Kolkata, April 25: Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Uttarpara, Hooghly district, on Friday. He stated that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government in West Bengal, efforts will be made to revive factories and industries that have shut down or relocated over the past 15 years.

Shah criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the decline of industries during its rule, claiming that no significant industrial investments or new factories have been established in the state during this period. He assured the audience that the BJP would make special efforts to restart closed industries and attract new investments, which he believes will create job opportunities and boost economic growth.

In his speech, Shah also targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, expressing concern over rising crimes against women and a deteriorating law-and-order situation under her administration. He emphasized that the BJP aims to restore West Bengal’s industrial strength to attract investments and provide employment for the youth. He reiterated that both development and security would remain top priorities.

Shah’s address included a strong critique of the current government’s policies, promising an increase in industry and employment under a potential BJP government. He also stressed that despite being a female chief minister, Banerjee has failed to ensure women’s safety in the state. If the BJP comes to power, he pledged that women’s safety and empowerment would be prioritized.

Additionally, during another rally in Hingalganj, Shah warned that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt the voting process linked to the TMC. He accused the current government of negligence in preventing illegal immigration, asserting that the BJP would identify and deport all illegal immigrants if elected.

He further highlighted the weak law-and-order situation in the state, raising serious concerns about women’s safety. Shah stated that the BJP’s goal would be to implement strict law enforcement and enhance security measures. He concluded by promising decisive action against illegal immigration and stronger border security if the BJP is elected.
