Mumbai, August 28: Bollywood star Alia Bhatt delighted her fans on Instagram by sharing an adorable childhood photo with her sister, Shaheen Bhatt, in celebration of Raksha Bandhan.
In the nostalgic post shared on Friday, a young Alia is seen embracing her elder sister in a heartwarming manner. The latest post also features a recent picture of the Bhatt sisters.
Expressing her love for Shaheen, Alia referred to her as ‘home’ in the caption. Shaheen responded to her sister’s post with three emojis, showcasing their close bond.
Beyond their personal lives, Alia and Shaheen have collaborated professionally as well. They co-own a production banner named ‘Eternal Sunshine Productions,’ which is set to release a young-adult romantic comedy titled ‘Don’t Be Shy.’ The film is expected to have its world premiere on Prime Video on September 25.
Discussing ‘Don’t Be Shy,’ Alia and Shaheen shared in a joint statement, “This project has been special to us from the beginning, and we are incredibly proud to see it come to life. It authentically portrays the realities of youth, the friendships that shape you, the first love that changes you, and the heartbreak that lingers, leading to a journey of self-discovery.”
They expressed their excitement about the talented young cast, stating, “Their energy, emotional depth, and chemistry are remarkable, bringing life and authenticity to these characters. We eagerly await for audiences in India and around the world to meet ‘Shay’ and immerse themselves in her world.”
Directed by Shriti Mukherjee, the project will feature new faces such as Arooshi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora, and Piyush Khati. The cast also includes Kunal Roy Kapoor, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik.
