Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes PM Modis Appeal on Fuel Usage Post-Elections

Lucknow, May 11: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to reduce the use of petrol, diesel, and gas, labeling the BJP government as the biggest “crisis” for the nation.

Yadav stated that the government suddenly remembers economic conditions and restrictions only after the elections, while BJP leaders had freely utilized resources during the campaign.

He targeted the central government over inflation, the declining rupee, unemployment, and foreign policy, asserting that the BJP has failed on all fronts, and the public is ready to respond.

In a post on the social media platform X, Yadav remarked, “As soon as the elections ended, the ‘crisis’ was remembered. The only real ‘crisis’ for the country is the BJP. If so many restrictions are necessary, how will the ‘five trillion dollar economy’ be achieved? It seems the BJP government has completely lost control. The dollar is soaring, while the rupee is plummeting.”

He added, “The appeal to not buy gold should be directed at BJP members rather than the public, as the people cannot afford to buy 1.5 lakh tolas of gold anyway. It is the BJP members who are busy laundering their black money.”

Yadav sarcastically questioned why all these restrictions were only remembered after the elections. He pointed out that BJP leaders took thousands of charter flights during the campaign. “Were they flying on water? Were they not staying in hotels or cooking with gas cylinders? Why didn’t they promote through video conferencing during the elections? Are all these restrictions only for the public? Such appeals will only spread fear and anxiety in trade and markets due to the looming threat of recession and inflation.”

He stressed that the government’s role is to effectively utilize its vast resources to navigate emergencies, not to spread fear or chaos.

Yadav urged the BJP to acknowledge its failures instead of ruining the country. He attributed the current situation to the BJP’s departure from the traditional non-alignment policy in foreign affairs, leading to inflation, unemployment, and recession affecting the public.

He emphasized that everyone, from farmers and laborers to youth, homemakers, professionals, and businesspeople, is caught in this crisis. The truth is that the BJP has failed in both foreign and domestic policies. This appeal is an admission of the BJP government’s failures, revealing its flaws as soon as it received votes.

He condemned the BJP for corrupting politics with electoral fraud, spreading hatred, and damaging social harmony. Their actions have tainted culture and values, even attacking religious figures, while now lamenting the economy. The BJP has wreaked havoc across cultural, religious, political, social, and economic spheres. The public’s sudden outrage following this appeal is something the BJP cannot manage like an electoral gimmick; they will be ousted for good. The nation declares today: we do not want the BJP.
