Akali Dal to Launch Statewide Campaign Starting November 10, Unveils Election Manifesto on November 1
The Akali Dal announces a statewide campaign starting November 10 and will release its election manifesto on November 1.

Chandigarh, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has announced a comprehensive campaign covering all assembly constituencies in Punjab, set to kick off on November 10 from Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo. Alongside this, the party plans to unveil its election manifesto on November 1.
Led by party president Sukhbir Badal, the campaign will unfold in three phases. The first phase will run from November 10 to November 22, while the second phase will commence from Sri Anandpur Sahib, followed by the third phase starting at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Senior leader Daljit Cheema shared details after meetings with the party’s Scheduled Caste, Backward Class, and youth wings. He noted that Badal has gathered direct feedback on issues to be included in the manifesto and is focused on strengthening the party organization.
Cheema mentioned that responses from various party factions will be discussed in the upcoming meeting of the manifesto committee on October 24. He confirmed, “The manifesto will be released on November 1.”
In a media interaction, Badal criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, linking the recent arrest of Mann’s brother-in-law, Amardeep Grewal, to ongoing corruption within the Chief Minister’s residence. He asserted that both Mann and Arvind Kejriwal are under scrutiny from central agencies, warning that they will face consequences for their corrupt actions.
Badal also held Mann accountable for the murder of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh, claiming the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) anti-drug campaign has led to violence against activists and informants rather than effectively combating drug issues.
He condemned Mann’s actions during a period of unrest in Punjab, stating that the Chief Minister should explain why he has failed to attract foreign investment despite his travels abroad.
Additionally, Badal revealed a scheme devised by Kejriwal and Mann for extorting money from industrialists, categorizing them into two groups based on demands of ₹2 crore and ₹5 crore.
During the meeting, a resolution was passed condemning the murder of Parvinder Singh, with a commitment to seek justice for the victim’s family through all possible means.
