Ahmedabad, August 31: An Air India Express flight traveling from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Monday. This action was taken after a bomb threat was reported, prompting immediate precautionary measures by security agencies.
The flight took off at 10:25 AM Indian time and made the emergency landing around 4:22 PM at Ahmedabad Airport. During the flight, a tissue paper with the word “bomb” written on it was discovered. The flight crew promptly notified the authorities following security protocols. Consequently, the decision was made to divert the aircraft to Ahmedabad Airport.
After landing, the plane was moved to a separate and secure area of the airport. All passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft.
