Mumbai, April 7: The spy thriller film ‘Dhurandhar’ has seen immense success, largely thanks to composer Shashwat Sachdeva. He not only created outstanding songs for the film but also worked tirelessly to promote them globally. Shashwat has crafted high-energy, synth-beat-based pop and rap tracks for both ‘Dhurandhar’ and its sequel ‘Dhurandhar 2,’ directed by Aditya Dhar.
In light of the film’s success and the songs’ popularity, director Aditya Dhar took to Instagram to praise Shashwat. He shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the song preparation, featuring Shashwat along with other singers and musicians.
Aditya wrote, “Salute to Shashwat Sachdeva. Some colleagues are not just work partners; they gradually become family. Shashwat has been just that for me. He is not only the composer for ‘Dhurandhar’ but also like a little brother. We have shared deeply creative moments together.”
The director further noted, “For ‘Dhurandhar Part 1,’ we completed nine songs in just nine days and the entire background score in six days. Then for ‘Dhurandhar Part 2,’ we finished 14 songs in 11 days and the background score in three days. The speed, scale, emotional depth, and quality of this work were truly remarkable.”
Despite both albums being released within three months, they topped global music charts. Aditya mentioned, “Almost every song from the film received love and appreciation worldwide, which is rare for any film.”
Reflecting on the creative process, Aditya shared, “For nearly 15 days, my home transformed from a house into a vibrant music studio. Every room was buzzing with activity. Music was being created in the living room, recordings were happening in the bedroom, and songs were being written on the balcony. Singers and musicians were constantly coming and going. Long sessions of 21-22 hours blurred the lines between day and night. We were solely focused on creating the right thing.”
Aditya praised Shashwat’s dedication, stating, “He was the center of this entire project. He managed everything—creating, composing, guiding, providing feedback, and enhancing every aspect. Even when he was unwell, getting little sleep, and facing health issues, he remained passionately present without compromise. Such dedication and determination are rare to find these days.”
