Following their victory at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh were seen having fun on the team bus. Abhishek humorously poked fun at Arshdeep’s habit of bowling wide deliveries.
Arshdeep shared a video on his Snapchat account where Abhishek jokingly suggested that two wicketkeepers are needed when Arshdeep bowls. In the semifinal against England, Arshdeep bowled five wides. Over his four-over spell, he conceded 51 runs and took just one wicket. Notably, Arshdeep holds the unwanted record for the most wides bowled in a single over in T20 internationals, having bowled seven wides in one over against South Africa in December 2025.
Arshdeep’s performance in the T20 World Cup 2026 has not been impressive. He has taken only nine wickets in seven matches, with an economy rate of 8.53. During the Super-8 round against the West Indies, he was particularly expensive, giving away 43 runs in four overs. In the semifinal against England, he managed just 9 runs before returning to the pavilion.
