Panaji, March 10 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday claimed that it has won the Benaulim seat in South Goa. However, an official announcement is yet to be made in this regard. In a tweet, AAP Goa in charge Atishi said the party has won its first seat in Goa. ”@AamAadmiParty win it’s first seat in Goa! Captain Venzy Viegas defeats Churchill Alemao from the Benaulim seat! An aam aadmi has won – so proud of @VenzyViegas,” she tweeted. AAP had contested 39 seats out of 40 in the coastal state and extended support to an independent candidate on one seat.
