Aadhar Card

Patna, 21 August (Kiran News). The Aadhar card has become a crucial document in today’s time, making it difficult to carry out any official work without it. To address this, the Bihar government has decided that Aadhar cards for children will now be made directly in government schools across the state. With this initiative, children and those who have not yet received an Aadhar card will no longer have to worry about obtaining one.

Aadhar Seva Kendras to Open in 1,068 Schools

According to the report, the government will open Aadhar Seva Kendras in 1,068 schools in the first phase. For this purpose, schools with proper facilities such as electricity and rooms are being identified. An official from the Education Department stated that the department has already started the process for setting up Aadhar Seva Kendras and a tender has been issued for the selection of an agency to manage these centres.

Once an agency is selected, the process of starting the Aadhar centre will be completed within 60 days with the help of UIDAI. The Education Department will pay the agency Rs. 50 for each Aadhar card made.

Training for Aadhar Centre Staff

The government has also decided that employees of the selected agency will be given training by UIDAI. The responsibility of running the Aadhar centre in schools will rest with the agency, which will also provide all necessary resources for the centre’s operation. In addition to serving schoolchildren, the centres will also allow local residents to apply for new Aadhar cards or correct errors in their existing cards.

This step by the government aims to make Aadhar card enrollment easier and more accessible for children and the general public in Bihar.
