Disappointed on T20 World Cup exit, we will come back stronger: Virat Kohli

New Delhi : Star batsman Virat Kohli on Friday expressed his disappointment over India’s T20 World Cup exit in the semi-finals and said the team will make a strong comeback.

Kohli scored 296 runs in six matches in the T20 World Cup at an average of 98.66. Kohli hit four half-centuries in the tournament, including a 50 against England in the semi-final, which India lost by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.

Kohli tweeted: We are disappointed by the loss. The team comes up with something positive from every tournament and we will come back strongly.

We leave Australia with our unfulfilled dreams and despair, but we can take back many memorable moments as a group and aim to be better from here.

In the match played between India and England, England won the toss and decided to bowl first. Thanks to the half-centuries from Hardik Pandya (63) and Virat Kohli (50), India scored 168 for 6 in 20 overs. However, the Indian bowlers disappointed and England chased down the target in 16 overs for no loss and won by 10 wickets.
