Besides this, the guide would also see to it whether the family members are working or not, the CM added. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed approval letters and cheques of the bank related to self-employment to as many as 15 beneficiaries. Khattar said that the government wishes that people having experience in various fields like carpenters, goldsmiths, etc. should come forward and make other people like them Atmanirbhar by giving them the required training. For doing so, the government will also give them certificates and money, he added. He said that only giving loans to the poor under this scheme does not solve the purpose, rather it should also be ensured that the people get benefit from that loan. The people should come forward and work for the upliftment of the society. Under this scheme, work will be done to take forward about 15 lakh families of Haryana with an annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh. In his address, the Chief Minister said that several welfare schemes have been implemented by the Central and State Governments and people are taking advantage of these schemes. In order to make every family happy in the state, an assessment has been done through Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) of the family whose annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh. All such families are being motivated to become self-reliant by providing them the benefits of several schemes through Antyodaya Mela. “Our aim is to uplift every family in the state. Continuous work is being done to ensure that no family remains poor. The main objective of the government is to increase the number of APL by decreasing the number of BPL,” he said. He said that under the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme, survey of all the families is being done and all the data of such families is being collected based on the needs and income of such families. Khattar said that under the scheme, at first, the most vulnerable people have been identified and so far 11 lakh such families have been identified in Haryana, whose annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh. He said that those who belong to rich families and want to come forward for social service would also be encouraged and motivated for giving their services to society. DB GK
